North Hobart Who's Who
Public Profile

I am relatively new to the Ipswich region having just moved here in 2017. Since then, I have set down some deep roots and happy to call myself a true local now. Cookies and Cache was launched in 2024 and I am loving working with small business owners from my own community - people I meet at the gym and around the place.

📚 John Kelly
John Kelly bought North Hobart’s State Cinema in 2002 and helped turn the ageing picture house into a thriving cinema complex. In an interview about its history, he recalled attending school excursions and teenage dates there before becoming its owner. Restoration and expansion gave the familiar venue a new chapter, while its role in the neighbourhood extended beyond individual film screenings.
